Here our crucified and risen Savior nourishes us by His Word in the Scriptures and the liturgy. Here the water of Baptism has given us life; the words of Absolution fill us with peace; the bread and wine of Holy Communion feed us with the very body and blood of Christ. So the Divine Service nourishes us like a Sunday meal.
