OUR HISTORYOUR HISTORY

In April of 1949, Christ Lutheran Church in Noack voted unanimously to begin a mission congregation in Taylor. Their pastor, Rev. G. A. Zoch held the first worship service in the American Legion Hall on October 9 of that year. On February 14, 1950, Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylor was organized with 65 members.In March the congregation called Rev. Zoch as their first pastor. The first church building was an army hospital barracks moved from Camp Swift to the congregation's first location on Sloan Street.
